Based in the Cultural Services branch this role is responsible for:Identification, development and project management of a range of temporary and permanent public art projects, programs and initiatives to help shape the public places in the City.Undertake event PR and marketing, communication, information and launch events.Support the development of local visual artists and arts collectives.Develop and negotiate artist contracts and monitor deliverables in accordance contract terms and conditions.Develops and manages the City’s Public Art budget.To be successful in this role, you will have:Substantial experience within the Arts Industry such as public art, community art, art collection management and exhibitions.Experience in budget planning and management.High level or organisational ability in planning, prioritising and achieving outcomes to deadlines.Highly developed and proven interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.Excellent written communication skills.Demonstrated high level judgement and problem solving skills.Well-developed ability to use corporate computer systemsPlease submit your CV and cover letter addressing each of the requirements in the position description. This position is part time, 36 hours per fortnight, and will be offered as a permanent contract.Salary range: $35.42 - $42.96 per hour plus 9.5% employer superannuation and up to an additional 5% employer co-contribution to superannuation, 5 weeks annual leave (pro-rata), subsidised gym membership, sustainable travel allowance or parking permit, and a range of health and wellbeing benefits.
