Applications to this role are open to people of all abilities.The staff at the City of Subiaco uphold and consistently demonstrate the City of Subiaco’s values of Respect, Integrity, Customer Service and Teamwork.A great opportunity has arisen in our Operations and Environment Services branch for an experienced Senior Irrigation Technician.This is a varied role that provides integral support to the team and we are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic and team orientated.The key responsibilities of this role include:To prepare, establish and maintain irrigation systems in parks and streetscapes to the highest standards.To assist in the provision of team leadership, promote safe work practices and deliver skills training to other employees as required.Undertake irrigation maintenance and construction work to the highest standards.Provide leadership and a high level of professional support to all precinct team members on Irrigation maintenance matters.Enhance the team’s compliance with Occupational Safety and Health principles and procedures to ensure the safety of the public and staff.Provide technical support. To be successful in this role, you will have:Certificate III in Irrigation.Basic traffic management.Broad range of skills, experience and knowledge in the use of irrigation systems used for amenity horticulture.Basic oral and written literacy and numeracy skills.Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health.Current C class WA drivers licence. This position is full time and will be offered as a permanent contract.Salary range: $64,970 – $69,693 plus 9.5% employer superannuation and up to an additional 5% employer co-contribution to superannuation, 9 day fortnight, 4 weeks annual leave, subsidised gym membership, sustainable travel allowance or parking permit, and a range of health and wellbeing benefits.
