Navigating this change in partnership with the community, business and stakeholders, whilst also celebrating Subiaco’s heritage, history and culture is an exciting challenge.In joining our Planning Services team you will be responsible for:Providing for cohesive administration and technical support within the Planning Services team, whilst completing entry-level planning tasks.Ensure professionalism in documentation, information and research support services to the Community and Development Services directorate.Uphold and consistently demonstrate the City’s values of Respect, Integrity, Customer Service and TeamworkThis entry-level position is ideally suited for someone who has recently completed an urban planning or other relevant degrees, some experience is desirable but not essential.  The role also provides opportunities to undertake higher duties and gain experience as a Planning Officer, depending on qualifications and experience.Alternatively, this position is for someone with a reasonable level of experience in administrative support, urban planning technical support, or local government. Completion of an accredited industry-based training course, a Certificate IV, or knowledge and skills gained on the job training, are desirable attributes.Applicants should address the requirements below in their applications. Required:Proven ability to deal with the public in a professional and competent manner;Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills;Demonstrated high levels of personal organisation, time management and ability to work under pressure;Advanced ability and experience in using corporate computer systems.Desirable:Experience or qualifications in urban planning, local government administration, or a related discipline.This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic planning team within an inner-city environment.
