Navigating this change in partnership with the community, business and stakeholders, whilst also celebrating Subiaco’s heritage, history and culture is an exciting challenge.In joining our Planning Services team you will be responsible for:Providing for cohesive administration and technical support within the Planning Services team, whilst completing entry-level planning tasks.Ensure professionalism in documentation, information and research support services to the Community and Development Services directorate.Uphold and consistently demonstrate the City’s values of Respect, Integrity, Customer Service and TeamworkThis entry-level developmental position for someone working towards or recently completed planning or other relevant degrees, some experience is desirable but not essential. The role provides up to three days’ work per week, where you can gain industry experience while you complete your studies. You’ll get experience in heritage, statutory and strategic planning work and tasks under the supervision of a great team.Applicants should address the requirements below in their applications. Required: Proven ability to deal with the public in a professional and competent manner;Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills;Demonstrated high levels of personal organisation and ability to work under pressure;Ability and experience in using corporate computer systems.Desirable:Experience or (or working towards) qualifications in urban planning, local government administration, or a related discipline.This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic planning team within an inner-city environment.
