Applications to this role are open to people of all abilities.The staff at the City of Subiaco uphold and consistently demonstrate the City of Subiaco’s values of Respect, Integrity, Customer Service and Teamwork.A great opportunity has arisen in our Operations and Environment Services branch for an experienced Senior Irrigations Technician.This is a varied role that provides integral support to the team and we are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic and team orientated.The key responsibilities of this role include:To prepare, establish and maintain commercial irrigation systems in parks and streetscapes to the highest standards.To assist in the provision of team leadership, promote safe work practices and deliver skills training to other employees as required.Undertake irrigation maintenance and construction work to the highestProvide leadership and a high level of professional support to all precinct team members on Irrigation matters.Enhance the team’s compliance with Occupational Safety and Health principles and procedures to ensure the safety of the public and staff.Provide technical support.To be successful in this role, you will have:Certificate three in IrrigationBasic traffic managementA broad range of skills, experience and knowledge in the use of irrigation systems used for amenity horticulture.Basic oral and written literacy and numeracy skillsWorking knowledge of Occupational Safety and HealthCurrent C class WA drivers licence.This position is full time and will be offered as a permanent contract.Salary range: $71,619.91 – $73,192.75 plus 10% employer superannuation and additional employer co-contribution to superannuation, 9 day fortnight, 4 weeks annual leave, free gym membership, sustainable travel allowance or a parking permit, and a range of health and wellbeing benefits.
